UPSC Civil Services

You have to pass UPSC civil services exams if you want to work in any of the administrative positions in the Indian government. This examination has three tiers, including preliminary, mains, and an interview. UPSC is one of the most prestigious tests and hence, you have to work hard if you want to clear it.

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE)

The National Testing Agency (NTA) manages the JEE. It comprises two papers, B.E/B. Tech and B.Arch/B.Planning. This exam has two different levels. First, JEE Mains for IITs, NIITs and other government institutes. Second, JEE Advanced for RGIPT, IISc and IITs.

NDA (National Defense Academy)

You can appear for the NDA exam if you want to join the Indian Army, Navy or Air Force. A significant number of youngsters appear for this test and it takes place twice every year.

Chartered Accountant (CA)

You can get an attractive salary package if you clear the CA exam. It contains three stages, including the Common Proficiency Test (CPT), the Integrated Professional Competence Course (IPCC) and finals. However, you have to be dedicated and work hard to pass this test managed by the ICAI (Institute of Chartered Accountants of India).

Common Law Admission Test (CLAT)

Attempt the CLAT exam if you wish to get admission to any of the national law universities in India. It comprises 150 questions from five different subjects including Math, general knowledge, English, legal aptitude, and logical reasoning. There are no age limits for this assessment.

UGC-NET

Only post-graduate students can appear for UGC-NET. If you clear the National Eligibility Test, you can earn an administrative position in Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs). However, NET is one of the toughest exams in India. So, you have to work hard to clear it.

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET)

Do you want to get admission to any of the medical schools in India? Then, you have to clear the NEET exam. This test is conducted every year and you can appear in it after clearing your 12th-standard examinations.

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)

The GATE contains numerical questions and multiple-choices. Depending upon your score, you can get jobs in PSUs like Hindustan Petroleum, GAIL, Indian Oil and more. The duration of this assessment is three hours.

Indian Engineering Services (IES)

IES has four stages, a general aptitude test, an objective paper, a technical paper and an interview. You can get civil services posts for managerial and mechanical domains of the Indian Government after passing this assessment. It is one of the most challenging exams in India. However, you can get a lucrative salary package and other perks after clearing this test.
